Late work should not silently turn the room back into daytime.

The key point
If work continues for two more hours at 23:30, visibility still matters. The light state should remain distinct from daytime focus.
Extended night work should preserve visibility for the task while limiting changes in spectrum and brightness that would return the whole room to a daytime state.
Name the compromise honestly
Calling a late-night state daytime focus would conflict with its timing. Harlowelife treats extended night work as a separate design state: visibility is retained without pretending it is still daytime.
Final spectral curves, brightness limits and transitions must be measured on production hardware before becoming product commitments.
Evidence boundary
A nighttime lighting strategy cannot remove the physiological effects of staying up late or evening light exposure. It is a compromise, not a health-benefit promise.
