One desk. Many ways to use it.
SOLA Desk is Harlowelife’s adaptive LED desk lamp for screen work, reading and writing, detailed tasks and video calls. Choose what you’re doing. It adjusts brightness, color temperature and spectral mix using your routine and measured desk light. You position the arm.
Clear light for the task in front of you. A warmer, quieter setting as your day winds down.
01 / The work in front of you
The right position matters as much as the light itself. Move the arm, choose your task, and let SOLA adjust the output.

Keep the keyboard and notes visible. Position the head clear of the screen to avoid direct reflections.

Bring the light over an open book or notebook. Place it on the opposite side from your writing hand to help limit shadows.

See the differences in materials, print and texture. Use the work-white setting when accurate color matters.

Turn the light toward your face for a call. Adjust its position above eye level and to one side, then check your camera preview.
Lifestyle scenes supplied with the brand reference. Call appearance also depends on your camera, exposure, glasses and room light.
02 / A useful kind of intelligence
A lamp cannot tell how well your page is lit just by knowing its own brightness. SOLA’s detachable sensor measures light at the task surface, so the system can adjust the light it adds.
You arrive. The light comes on.
You leave. It switches off.
Camera-free presence sensing supports automatic on and off. Physical controls remain available whenever you want to make a change.
A daily light progression aligned with when you wake, work and wind down.
Different light settings for a screen, an open page, fine detail or a call.
A movable sensor reads the work surface, including the light already in the room.
24 GHz presence sensing, without a camera. A physical knob and buttons keep control within reach.
03 / The hours around your work
Focused white light has its place. So does letting it become warmer as work comes to a close. SOLA’s daily progression can shift with your routine.

Light for settling in, opening your notebook and making a start.
A work-white setting for screens, pages and materials.
Warmer light as you finish up or return to a book.
An illustration of the daily progression, not a measured output simulation or a lamp control. Exact output depends on task, placement and surroundings.
Expert recommendations distinguish daytime, evening and nighttime light exposure. This informs our design approach; it does not establish a clinical sleep benefit for SOLA Desk. Read the research ↗

04 / Made to move. Made to stay.
A long arm brings the light to the work. Damped joints hold it there. Aluminum construction, a copper finish and physical controls give every adjustment a tangible feel.
Harlowe’s professional filmmaking-light experience is backed by AEC’s 26 years in lighting engineering and manufacturing.

05 / Measured light, openly explained
Useful measurements describe both the light and the conditions. These results are for SOLA Desk, tested in AEC’s in-house laboratory.
About 27.6 × 19.7 inches.
320–2,064 lux across the tested field.
Work-white measurement.
R9 94.0 · Rf 98.2.
Work-white measurement.
Actual call appearance depends on setup.
AEC report LAB2026082102 · ESL sample · 26 August 2026. Automatic mode, with the light-emitting surface 400 mm above the test surface.
| Area | Measured illuminance |
|---|---|
| Full field: 700 × 500 mm | 320–2,064 lx |
| Central field: 500 × 300 mm | 856–2,064 lx |
These are spatial ranges across the measured area, not a promise of equal illuminance at every point. The central maximum/minimum ratio is 2.41. Placement, ambient light and surface reflectance change the result.
Open the original illuminance readings ↗Work-white state, integrating-sphere measurement dated 25 August 2026. Reported values: 6,358 K · 590 lm · Ra 98.4 · R9 94.0 · Rf 98.2 · TLCI 99.1.
One measured state does not define every setting. A warmer evening setting is not the appropriate reference for color-critical work. Color temperature alone does not describe the full spectrum.

SOLA Desk’s published design emphasizes very low flicker, drawing on professional lighting practice. The material provided for this page does not contain a complete numerical flicker report across the operating range, so no numerical flicker limit is stated here.
These are in-house optical and product measurements, not independent certification or clinical trials. SOLA Desk is not a medical light-therapy device and is not presented as a treatment for insomnia.

A useful place to begin
Try these small changes at your desk today. You do not need a new lamp to learn what is missing.
A free text checklist. No email required.
Look at a dark area on your screen. If you can see the lamp reflected in it, move the lamp to one side and recheck.
Open a book beside your keyboard. Move the light across from your writing hand, then see whether the shadow falls off the page.
Look at the light you use when finishing the day. Try a warmer setting and reduce brightness while keeping the page easy to read.

Before you decide
SOLA Desk is Harlowelife’s 20 W adaptive LED desk lamp for screen work, reading and writing, detailed tasks and video calls. It adjusts brightness, color temperature and spectral mix using your selected task, daily routine and measured desk light. You position its articulated arm manually.
A dimmer lets you change output. SOLA Desk also measures light at the work surface with a detachable sensor, then uses that reading together with your routine and selected task to adjust the light it adds. Camera-free presence sensing supports automatic on and off.
You select the task and position the arm. SOLA Desk adjusts the light output; this page does not claim automatic task recognition or motorized movement.
The daily progression can shift with your routine, including when you wake, work and wind down. The times shown on this page illustrate the idea; they are not a fixed schedule that every user must follow.
Physical knob and button controls are available. SOLA Desk uses a detachable light sensor and camera-free 24 GHz presence sensing. Detailed app setup and feature dependencies will be confirmed in the final product guide before purchase.
In AEC’s automatic-mode test, the measured field was 700 × 500 mm, approximately 27.6 × 19.7 inches, at a light-emitting-surface height of 400 mm. Readings ranged from 320 to 2,064 lux across that field and from 856 to 2,064 lux across its central 500 × 300 mm. Actual illuminance depends on the lamp position, existing light and surfaces.
Yes. SOLA Desk has settings for reading, detailed work and video calls. Use its work-white setting for color-critical tasks; the reported work-white values are Ra 98.4, R9 94.0, Rf 98.2 and TLCI 99.1. For calls, position the lamp to light your face and check your camera preview. The camera, exposure and room also affect the result.
SOLA Desk uses time-aware lighting informed by circadian-lighting principles. It is a desk and task lamp, not a medical light-therapy device. In-house optical measurements do not demonstrate that it treats insomnia, improves sleep or changes a person’s circadian rhythm.
SOLA Desk is listed at $599 USD. A paid $30 reservation provides a total $99 credit against that price, leaving a $500 balance. The total paid is $530, a net saving of $69, before tax and shipping. The $99 credit includes the $30 already paid. Requesting a link on this page takes no payment and does not complete a reservation. Full terms are shown before payment.
Shipping is planned to start in October 2026; an individual delivery date will be confirmed with your order. A paid reservation is refundable before purchase. Product return terms after delivery are separate. Eligible countries, taxes, shipping costs and the full redemption terms will be confirmed before payment. SOLA Desk has a two-year warranty.
